Mirror mirror on the wall what job should I do this Fall?
Looking back I think I knew within the first 3 months that one of my jobs wasn’t right for me, I would make slight adjustments, change my client group, or change the business line I supported and even changed countries. Before I knew it ten years had passed and I had morphed into this aggressive career person which didn’t align with my inner values. The experiences, knowledge, and network I built from this job and organisation have helped me build a life I love today but one valuable lesson I have learned is this – don’t wait for change to happen to you.
How to juggle life with style when you feel overwhelmed - Part 2
In the first part of our series of how to tackle feeling overwhelmed we focused on practical tips to manage that growing to do list. But what if the cause is attributed to a single goal or challenge that’s outside your comfort zone and not a long to do list? For example, maybe you are returning to studying, looking to get back into the workplace, facing a new project at work or setting up your own business. Sometimes we’re overwhelmed because we just don’t know where or how to start, we feel we don’t have the knowledge or skills we need and instead of getting down to it we freeze or suddenly fill our time so we can legitimately say we are too busy and the time is not right.
However, it doesn’t need to be that way. When I first set up my new business I took these steps to help me break the challenge down and give me the kick up the a**e I needed? If this sounds like you then get ready to roll up your sleeves and take control.
