Recently I took part in a forum hosted by The Girls Network a charity that aims to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a mentor and a network of professional female role models. At this forum, I was asked what advice would I give my younger self.
Where to start, the list is endless! Younger Kerrie, do not over pluck those eyebrows, always wear sun cream and sun oil isn’t sun cream! Mr. Perfect doesn’t exist, and Mr. Right maybe not be who you think it will be.
And then there were the serious answers, I was there to be a role model! Looking back at my 3 points I shared, I realised that this was not unique to childhood and are points consistently discussed in my individual coaching sessions, in fact, they are challenges that I continue to work on every day.
